After
shampoo, towl hair almost dry and rub in a small amount of cream-set
or pomade. |

Make a short part and comb hair into place with a few simple waves around temples. |

As shown in Sketches 1 and 2, set two rolls of curls - top row fat and bottom row not quite so fat. |

Tie
net on hair, just back of front wave. Moisten front wave with wave set
(Vito uses beer) and lift sharply to make hair spring from forehead
(Sketch 3). |

When dry, brush hair up over head (this takes the place of ruffing and gives hair a lush, live look). Then comb down into plump, page-boy roll. |
