Nocturne to expand production team by 50%, implement new features on popular web site

Los Angeles, CA -- February 23, 2002 -- Confirming speculations today, Nocturne has announced the acquisition of back-end web systems expert Chip Hornick, to help with the introduction of version 3.0 of the popular Swing Times section of the nocturne.com web site.

According to webmistress founder Karen Wilson, "We are very happy to have Chip joining Team Nocturne. He supports our vision for the future of nocturne.com, has good web site automation experience, and a sincere appreciation of fried foods. The original Nocturne team is making every effort to move him to a night schedule, but the going has been hard. He's definitely a day person."

Hornick, who has a history of slapping databases onto web sites, also seems to be pleased with the situation. Commenting via telephone from a tanning booth in Los Angeles, he said, "They have a wonderful vision for all of Nocturne, and the new format should free up some time for them to devote to other areas of the site."

When asked if he was a fan of the site before coming on board, Hornick gave a resounding affirmative, and further noted that "riding on the coattails of interesting and successful people" is a perpetual goal of his.

Well knowing the pitfalls of predicting software releases, Wilson declined to be too specific about the timeframe for the release of 3.0. "We are definitely hoping to have the first phase of the new system live by mid-March, but we're allowing for some flexibility. In the meantime, a few pages on the site have been updated with the new 3.0 look and feel."

Tim Hendrix, the co-founder and silent partner of nocturne.com, declined to comment.

And what has our favorite web mistress been up to of late, you ask??

Well, despite all the pressures of running the town's most popular swing site, changing her hairstyle yet again, and remodeling the tiki-hut she shares with Tim (her silent partner and oh-so-mysterious man about town), she was recently spotted in a rather serious looking tete-a-tete over lunch with a certain systems savant, whom sources (who prefer to remain anonymous) have identified as Chip Hornick.

Details of the meeting are being kept extremely hush-hush, but reliable informants say the charming IT pro has long been an admirer of the Swing Times and, as rumor has it, our former red-head's impressive dance skills and daring 'do also made quite an impression on the fledgling swingophyte.

Could it be that Mr Hornick will be joining forces with Ms Wilson & Mr Hendrix in a new, expanded venture for our favorite swing site? With his expertise in internet systems automation, rumors are swirling that our favorite guardians of the night will be bringing the techno boy wonder onboard to help keep Nocturne what has always been (and will surely remain) the most stylish and substantive swing site around!

At press time the parties involved were not available for comment, but we'll be sure to keep an eye on things....
